Plustek OpticFilm series Summary

Highest resolution consumer Film Scanner - huge prints from 35mm

Plustek OpticFilm series is hardware optical 7200 dpi film scanner capable of scanning 35 mm slide and negatives (film). It has the highest resolution of ANY commercial film scanner. OpticFilm series has a USB 2.0 connection (also works with USB 1.1) for fast scan speeds. With 3.3 - 3.5 optical density, shadow detail is excellent for both negatives and normal contrast slides. It also copes very well with high contrast slides.

The 7200dpi resolution means you can print a quarter cropped 35mm film to A3 print size. No other film scanner can achieve this enlargement!

The Plustek OpticFilm series provides 48-bit scanning capability that supports recognition of literally trillions of different colours. The result is extremely accurate colour rendition compared to the original film, retaining subtle details in the highlight and shadow areas of the scanned image. The scanner is able to generate an uncompressed picture file (24-bit color depth) that is 200 MB or equal to a 75-megapixel resolution digital camera. Some OpticFilm in the series include dust & scratch removal, multiexposure (increased shadow detail) and multi sampling (reduces noise)
